PMCPA PRESS RELEASE 24 September 2026 - Case ruled in breach of Clause 2
GSK has breached the ABPI Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry and brought discredit upon, and reduced confidence in, the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, GSK was publicly reprimanded.

For failing to provide the Code of Practice Panel and Appeal Board with a full and frank disclosure of all relevant information in its submission and communications for Case/0269/08/24, GSK was ruled in breach of the following clauses of the 2024 Code:
Clause 2 - Bringing discredit upon, and reducing confidence in, the pharmaceutical industry
Clause 5.1 - Failing to maintain high standards
In addition, the Code of Practice Appeal Board required GSK to be publicly reprimanded for its significant failure to comply with the crucial requirement, expected of all those enjoying the privilege of self-regulation, of complete transparency and openness with the Regulator.
