International and European Codes

 

​​​​​The ABPI Code incorporates the principles set out in the international and European codes, and the principles set out in World Health Organisation (WHO), website here, ethical criteria for medicinal drug promotion.

The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA), website here, operates the International Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices.

The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), website here, operates the EFPIA Code of Practice here.   

​The PMCPA liaises regularly with both the IFPMA and EFPIA to ensure that the UK Code is in line with these codes.
