What should pharmaceutical companies do if a health professional/HCO donates their transfer of value to a third party, e.g. a charity, charitable trust or other institution?

The purpose of disclosure is to bring greater transparency to the relationships between the pharmaceutical industry has with, amongst others, health professionals, other relevant decision makers and healthcare organisations. Companies are required to document and publicly disclose transfers of value made to health professionals, other relevant decision makers and healthcare organisations (Clause 28.1). They should disclose, where lawfully able, those individuals or organisations to whom a transfer of value was made, regardless of what happens to that transfer of value afterwards. Recipients should be aware of the process.
